The Cherry Valley is the classic big white duck that many people picture when they think of a farmyard duck. They’re large, chunky birds with pure white feathers, orange legs and an orange bill, and they’re generally calm, hardy and easy to keep. They are keen foragers, love water, and are not strong flyers, which can make them easier to keep contained. They should always have access to water deep enough to dunk and clean their heads. Interesting fact: Cherry Valley Farms was founded in Britain in 1959, and Cherry Valley Pekin ducks have since become one of the most widely used commercial duck lines in the world.
